This year went by so fast, and I'm really sad that this year has come to an end. Since it is the end of the year, it is also the end of my blog. It is really incredible and unbelievable that I made 30 blog posts this year, not including this post. For my last blog post, I'll be reflection on my blogging experience by answering questions posted on thestarryvoid.blogpost.com.
From creating and keeping up with my blog, I learned that if you focus hard into a book, you can relate it to the real world, and I learned that when I read books I think a lot about things in real life. Also, from blogging I learned that the author always has another meaning in the book. I learned that there is always something that the author wants us to know. Also, blogging changed me as a reader, because when I have my blog to run, while I am reading I have to look for things in the book and it makes me think deeper. Also, I learned how to elaborate on many different topics. Some include philosophy and issues. I benefited from the experience because I learned how to look for different things in the book, and I learned how to even dig deeper than I was digging into the book before. I also learned that books can really teach you a lot about the world, and can definitely change your views on the world. I also benefited from blogging by learning from others blogs and reading them.
Writing online is completely different than writing in your notebook, because when you write online, everyone can see it. In your notebook, not many people can see it. Also, when you write online, it can be shared and passed on. It never goes away, because it will always be somewhere else. Also, when you write online, many people can get discovered from it. If you are very intelligent and responses to books well, you could get discovered and possible get a job from it. Many celebrities, like Justin Bieber, were discovered online. Writing online can be liberating because you can write whatever you want, and if you want to get the word out, you can easily do it online. It is easier to get the word across. It is also liberating because it gives you more options, like reading and commenting on other people's blogs. It can be limiting, because you have to watch what you post, because it can be spread easily.
I personally believe that people are not more real online. Online, people are behind their computer screen, so they could say whatever they want. They could say whatever they want without a consequence. They are protected because they are far away. I also believe that people do create online personalities that project the best of ourselves. The reason why I think that, is because things on the internet could be shared easily, so you want to show your best side.
I do believe that teenagers abuse the freedom that being online gives us. The internet is a place where people should use it occasionally and carefully. What is put up on the internet can never be put down. It will keep spreading really fast. Also, many people can see what you post. Many teenagers post thing that they will regret, like pictures of smoking. Teachers can see that. People definitely type things that they wouldn't say to a person's face. People can do this because they are safe behind their computer screen. I honestly think that it is a good thing it gives people a chance to let out what they want to say. It takes a lot of things off people's shoulders. The bad thing is, the person thinks that they are safe, and the other person can give that other person a consequence, and he may be hurt.
I cannot imagine myself keeping up with this blog. Keeping a blog is a lot of work, and you really do have to put effort in it for it to be good. In high school I will get a lot more work and I will rarely have enough time to work on my blog. I blogged because it was part of my grade. I think I would create a blog about skateboarding. I could post my latest skate videos, and the skate videos from my friends. Also, I could have interesting news about skateboarding. I think that blogs are something that take a lot of effort and work, and that it isn't fun unless it is about something that you love. I kind of love reading, so maintaining this blog wasn't so hard. It wasn't so hard for me, but it does get annoying when you want to do something else, but you have to blog.
In conclusion, I am glad that I have completed all of my 31 blog posts, and I feel that I learned a lot from this blog. It made me think more about the world and made me realize many different things. It also taught me how to dig deeper into a book and learn more from a book. It seemed like just yesterday when I started my blog. It was a great idea to have a blog this year.

The Motorcycle Diaries: What is a Good Leader and Why Do People Need to Explore the World????
I am currently reading The Motorycle Diaries, a memoir about Ernesto "Che" Guevara, and it follows twenty-three year old medical student Ernesto "Che" Guevara. One semester away from graduation, he decides to postpone his last semester to accompany his twenty-nine year old biochemist friend 'Alberto Granado' - Mial to his friends - on his four month, 8,000 km long dream motorcycle trip throughout South America starting from their home in Buenos Aires. Their quest is to see things they've only read about in books about the continent on which they live, and to finish that quest on Alberto's thirtieth birthday on the other side of the continent in the Guajira Peninsula in Venezuela. Not all on this trip goes according to their rough plan due to a broken down motorbike, a continual lack of money, arguments between the two in their isolation with each other, and dealing with Ernesto's chronic asthma. On their trip, Ernesto was transformed by the poverty and alienation he witnessed. But a chance encounter with a couple of Communists in the Chilean desert and an extended visit to the San Pablo Leper Colony in the Perúvian Amazon Basin among other things profoundly affects what each will want to do with his life and the bond each has with the other. Ernesto also became a big leader in the Cuban Revolution. This story made me ask myself why do people need to explore the world and what is a good leader????
In this book, Ernesto "Che" Guevara explores all of South America on a four-month, 8,000 km long motorcycle trip.Even though most people don't have a long exploration like that, you still believe that every person needs to explore the world. I personally believe that you learn so much when you travel, and you can really experience something new. You can see the problems of the other parts of the world and try to fix it. You can also learn a new technique, technology, or idea when u explore the world. It also inspires many people to do something .A visit to the Incan ruins of Macchu Picchu inspires something in Ernesto. He wonders how the highly advanced culture gave way to the urban sprawl of Lima. His reflection is interrupted by Alberto, who shares with him a dream to peacefully revolutionize modern South America. Ernesto quickly responds: "A revolution without guns? It will never work." Ernesto "Che" Guevara learned about the culture of another place, and he brought it over and became a leader in the Cuban Revolution. He learned that people can have a revolution without guns, and that changed the Cuban Revolution. He learned this by exploring the world and learning about other people's cultures.
This book also made me ask myself what is a good leader? Ernesto was a huge political image, but he didn't have a high rank in the government. Even though he didn't have a high rank in the government, he still was a huge, influential, and good leader. So, what is a good leader? Personally, I believe that a good leader is one who thinks about the civilians in the place where he leads. The leader wants the best for the citizens and tries to treat everyone equally. Also, I believe that the leader has a lot of good and new ideas that can change the land for better. I also personally believe that a good leader cares about the lives of his citizens, and that the leader should value the lives of the citizens and the well being of the citizens over the benefit of himself, and the economy of the country. In this book, Ernesto "Che" Guevara brought a good idea of having a revolution without guns, and it saved many lives. It also revolutionized a revolution. It changed revolutions, and that's why Ernesto "Che" Guevara is considered a good leader.
In conclusion, The Motorcycle Diaries, a memoir of Ernesto "Che" Guevara, is a very good and moving memoir and brought many ideas into my mind. The story that this book tells is a very good and inspiring story. It makes you want to explore the world, and see how other people live. Ernesto "Che" Guevara saw the poverty and alienation in other countries and it really moved him. That is why I believe that other people should go on journeys and explore the world. The Deep: When Can You Trust Someone?????
As well as reading The Giver, I am also reading The Deep, by Peter Benchley and I am further into it. As I read on more issues came up and more ideas cam into my mind. The Deep follows vacationing couple David Sanders and Gail Berke who recover a number of artifacts, including an ampule of amber-colored liquid and a medallion. Sanders and Berke seek the advice of lighthouse-keeper Romer Treece on the origin of the medallion, who identifies the item as Spanish and takes an interest in the young couple. The ampule is noticed by the man who had rented diving equipment to Sanders and Berke, which in turn attracts the attention of Henri Cloche, a local drug kingpin for whom the shop owner works, who wants to buy the ampule with no luck and then begins to terrorize the couple with Haitian black magic. Treece concludes that a recent storm has exposed her cargo of morphine and unearthed a much older wreck containing Spanish treasure. Treece makes a deal with Cloche, so they can dive in peace making him believe he will get the ampules for a million dollars, while his real plan is to have the chance to find the treasure. Cloche gives him 3 days to recover them. Sanders, Berke, and Treece make several dives to the wrecks, recovering thousands of morphine ampules from Goliath and several additional artifacts from the Spanish wreck. From all of this from the text, philosophy questions about trust come into my mind. Some of them are, when can you trust a person? Also, why do people place trust in others?
The first question I asked myself was why do people trust others? Many people place trust in other to get things. According to the dictionary, the definition of trust is "firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something." Treece made a deal with Cloche, so they can dive in peace making him believe he will get the ampules for a million dollars, while his real plan is to have the chance to find the treasure. Cloche placed trust in Treece, but Treece took advantage of Cloche's kindness and he tried to make money. Chloche placed firm belief in the ability and strength of Treece to get the ampules from Goliath. To answer the question, "when can you trust someone?", I believe that Cloche trusted Treece because if Treece found the ampules, Cloche could make a large profit from the ampules, because they are very valuable. People trust others when they get a benefit themselves. The benefit could be some money, or power. This kind of relates to my blog post last week about people being greedy.
The other question that I asked myself was; when can you trust a person? When you need something, you may have to place trust in someone else. You need people so that they can help you get what you want. I personally believe that you can trust someone when you have known them for a while, and when you know that they are not greedy and won't take advantage of you. People become not trustworthy when they are greedy. So, what is greed? According to the dictionary, it is "intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food." People would take advantage of you when they want wealth, power, food, and other things. I personally believe that you shouldn't trust everyone, and that if you need something, it is better to just wait for someone who you trust to come and help you get what you want. Trust should be a precious thing that should not be given to anyone. Trust should also be something special between two people, and being trusted should be a greater compliment than being loved, because only very few people could be trusted. It was a big mistake that Cloche trusted Treece.
